Testing, inspection and certification (TIC) company Kiwa UK has announced its involvement in the cross-industry group Hydrogen Strategy Now.
The recently formed campaign group believes that the Government must establish a UK-wide hydrogen strategy, and earlier this week expressed these beliefs through a letter to Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, urging him to open discussions for the strategy as part of post-coronavirus recovery.
Today, the group has a combined employment of 100,000 people and a total value of £100bn in the UK and stands ready to invest up to £1.5bn in hydrogen projects and create thousands of jobs across the country.
Attracting cross-party support, Hydrogen Strategy Now believes that the UK could become a global leader in hydrogen technology, but only if it moves fast to realise the opportunity.
