KP Engineering awarded $100m contract to work on natural gas cryogenic facility

US-based KP Engineering (KPE) has won a $100m contract to provide engineering, procurement and construction on a 200 million standard cubic feet per day natural gas cryogenic processing facility in Texas.

The contract has been awarded by Targa Pipeline Mid-Continent WestTex LLC, a subsidiary of Targa Resources Corp.

The facility, located near Midkiff, in the Permian Basin of West Texas, will include a 5,000 SBPD condensate stabiliser, low-pressure compression, intermediate compression, custody transfer metering, slug catchers and a control system for processing raw natural gas into merchantable natural gas by extracting natural gas liquids (NGLs) and removing impurities.
