The Caribbean is expanding its presence in the sustainable energy space, with the opening of a brand-new LNG loading terminal in the town of Peńuelas, Puerto Rico.
US supply chain firm Crowley on Tuesday (24th May) confirmed the opening of the new site that will deliver more than 94 million gallons of LNG annually and, when at full distribution capacity, will help power an aggregate of 120MW in cleaner energy.
Tom Crowley, CEO of Crowley, said, “We continue to expand our capacity and investment in Puerto Rico with the opening of this special facility, which enhances Crowley’s LNG capabilities across diverse industries.”
“Our LNG solutions allow industrial and commercial clients to plan, monitor and produce their own energy while protecting their business from potential threats such as power outages or natural disasters.”
