France-based green hydrogen company Lhyfe has partnered with industrial supplier Schaeffler to build an electrolysis plant at Schaeffler’s factory in the town of Herzogenaurach in Bavaria, Germany.
Announced today (19th Dec), the plant will have a capacity of up to 15MW (megawatts) – capable of supplying approximately 3.7 tonnes of green hydrogen per day when operations start up in 2025.
Having signed a Letter of Intent, the partners will supply a range of organisations across Bavaria, helping to drive decarbonisation across the region.
The move comes shortly after Lhyfe expanded its renewable green hydrogen operations to the UK, marking a key milestone in its pathway to Net Zero.
