Air Products and Linde have signed a deal to supply NASA with approximately 15 million pounds of liquid hydrogen for use across its facilities.
The industrial gas giants on Monday (14th Nov) inked multi-million-dollar contracts with the space agency, with Air Products’ contract having a maximum value of around $57.3m and Linde’s coming in at around $29.1m.
It is thought that Air Products will supply approximately 13.1 million pounds of liquid hydrogen to NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Centre in Huntsville, Alabama and Stennis Space Centre in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
Linde will deliver up to 1.98 million pounds of the commodity to NASA’s Glenn Research Centre in Cleveland and Armstrong Test Facility in Sandusky, Ohio and the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida.
