Linde announces changes at Executive Board

The Linde Group has today announced that Executive Board member Trevor Burt, responsible for the Asia-Pacific region as well as the Packaged and Electronic Gases Business Areas, has decided to resign for personal family reasons.

The resignation, which becomes effective as of 31st December 2007, leads to a reduction of the Executive Board of Linde AG to 4 members and the restructuring of responsibilities within the board.

Burt cited the reasons for his exit as he commented, $quot;I am glad that I was able to help get the new combined company on its course from the beginning and on a successful start. Now, I have decided to focus on my family.$quot;

While the announcement is met with both support and respect, Burt’s services are likely to be sorely missed and CEO Wolfgang Reitzle reflected, $quot;Trevor has been tremendously successful in establishing our Asia-Pacific organisation, and thus contributed to our new company during its first year of existence. We respect his decision to leave but regret it at the same time.$quot;
