Linde announces sponsorship package

In a move designed to promote young talent and give budding engineers and scientists the opportunity to participate in the International Federation for Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering (IFHTSE) conferences, it’s been revealed that the Gases Division of The Linde Group is to sponsor the 6th IFHTSE Young Author Awards 2008.

Open for nominations at the 17th IFHTSE Congress in Kobe, Japan in October 2008,
Linde’s sponsorship will recognise the young author’s contribution to the advancement of material sciences for heat treatment and surface engineering. The sponsorship will allow the winning candidate to attend the 18th IFHTSE Congress as registration fees, travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the award.

The IFHTSE Young Author Awards are open to engineers and scientists under the age of 35 and nominations are judged on 4 key criteria, notably the scientific and technical merit of the paper submitted, the standard of presentation, a suitable balance of science and technology, and novelty of scientific approach or process treatment
