Linde Group acquires Russian oxygen company

German business concern Group Linde became proprietor of the eldest at the average Volga region Joint-stock COMPANY the «Samara oxygen plant» («SaKiZ») – enterprise for air separation gases.
One of the largest world producers of industrial gases german Linde Group extends the presence at the Russian market. Information that «SaKiZ» was purchased by the largest german producer of industrial gases Group Linde, appeared on an official press-release at the site of the European enterprise.
There were placed comments of Belloni Aldo – one of directory members of Linde, who declared that «SaKiZ» is one of leaders in the $quot; fast growing economy of Volga Region$quot;. Then Mr. Belloni established, that the purchase of «SaKiZ» is «part of Group Linde growth strategy at the East Europe market, and company will be continue this tendency to strengthen in Russia by the further special investments».
However, Rinat Muhtarov – general director of JSC «Samara oxygen plant» told that presently an agreement is already finally signed. By results of this agreement a factory expects the influx of additional investments for the further mastering and development of new productions technologies.
The sum of transaction between Group Linde and «Samara oxygen factory» is not disclosed. Analysts assume that the Samara enterprise was sold approximately for $ 12-15 millions and suppose that this asset will help Group Linde to occupy about 22% world market of industry gases.
We will mark that today Group Linde already owns by Balashiha oxygen plant (Moscow region), and «SaKiZ» for a German business concern became the second large purchase in Russia.
