The Linde Group has secured a major contract with Russian engineering holding SRDI Oil & Gas Peton to construct a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant that will produce around 1.5 million tonnes of LNG per year.
The industrial gas corporation was selected by Gazprom and Project EPC contractor SRDI Oil & Gas Peton as the licenser for the mid-scale LNG production, storage and shipment complex in Portovaya, Russia.
Located near the edge of the Baltic Sea, the new plant will liquefy natural gas coming from the nearby compressor station which is part of Gazprom’s Nord Stream pipeline.
