Linde secures a hydrogen plant contract

Linde has been awarded a contract by Indian Reliance Industries Limited for the supply of five hydrogen units for the refinery site at Jamnagar, Gujarat.

The first of the new hydrogen units is scheduled to be on stream in the first quarter of 2007. Together with two plants already in operation, the local production capacity will be increased to an overall 584,500 cubic meters of hydrogen.

This will make the Jamnagar site one of the largest pure hydrogen sources worldwide, said Dr. Aldo Belloni, member of the executive board.

He continued: This order is of special significance to us, since Reliance Industries is an important customer, located in one of the most promising regions of Asia.
