Linde signs another major contract in China

The Linde Group has signed another major contract in China.

This time the contract is with Baosteel Group, Shanghai, the largest steel production company in China, for the delivery of an air separation plant. The previous contract was in December last year when Linde agreed a contract with Shenhua Coal Liquefaction Company to deliver two air separation plants, each with a production capacity of 50,000 cubic metres of nitrogen an hour. The new plant will produce 60,000 cubic metres of oxygen an hour.

Dr Aldo Belloni, member of the management board of Linde AG and responsible for the business segments Gas and Engineering, explained the importance of this latest agreement.

He said: These projects have enabled us to further strengthen our position as the leading supplier of air separation plants in China, the most important growth market.
