Linde will build, own and operate a new hydrogen production facility at the Chalampé chemical park, France, as part of a new agreement with BASF.
The industrial gas giant today (8th Feb) said it had signed an agreement with the leading chemical company for the supply of hydrogen and steam at its new hexamethylenediamine (HMD) manufacturing facility.
Expected to come onstream in the first half of 2024, the plant will both help BASF’s manufacturing capabilities and support Linde’s local merchant customer base.
Commenting on the new development and the deal, Veerle Slenders, President of West Europe at Linde, said, “Hydrogen plays a key role in the manufacturing of essential chemicals for industry.”
