Linde LLC hosted its first Food Safety Summit at Notre Dame University in June, to educate independent gas distributors on industry best practices and new government requirements.
60 representatives from approximately 30 companies attended the event to listen to industry consultants, major distributors, suppliers and leaders from industry associations.
Bob VanKirk, Head of Linde US Distributor Channel, Packaged Gases and Caribbean businesses, said, “This is an important time for the industry, and it takes vigilance and action to be a responsible supplier of food and beverage gases today.” He continued, “Our distributors recognise that food safety is not just a goal, but a process.”
