Liqvis GmbH and L.I.T. Cargo GmbH have agreed to use sustainably produced Bio-liquefied natural gas (Bio-LNG) as part of a short-term flagship project.
As part of the project, physical Bio-LNG was provided to the site of L.I.T. from the Liqvis site in Hamm, Germany.
The sustainable fuel was then used by L.I.T. to run up to 16 IVECO S-way NP trucks, showing that transport operations using heavy duty trucks can be almost climate neutral.
Contributing a telematics system to record performance data such as fuel consumption, power, and driving style analysis for the trucks, Ulm-based IVECO Magirus AG also took part in the project.
