Chart Energy & Chemicals Inc. has produced the very first proprietary brazed aluminium heat exchangers (BAHX) that can produce liquified natural gas (LNG) on-board a floating facility.
Black & Veatch (B&V) announced this achievement following a successful performance testing of the Exmar Caribbean Floating Liquefied Natural Gas vessel (FLNG) in Nantong, China using B&V’s patented PRICO® technology.
B&V reported that the average liquefaction process load exceeded 100% during a ‘flawless’ 72-hour performance test that fulfilled all design requirements, production capacities and operational expectations.
