LNG improvement study project awarded

Foster Wheeler announced today that it has been awarded a contract by Statoil Petroleum to increase the operating performance of the company’s LNG facility 450km north of the Artic Circle.

The study concerns the Snøhvit Improvement Project 2 at Melkøya, where Foster Wheeler will define long-term solutions to achieve the Snøhvit partnership’s objectives of increasing the operating performance of the LNG facility and increasing the capacity and feed gas flexibility of the plant. This concept study is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2014.
