Italian commercial refrigeration company LU-VE Group has supplied the machines for the refrigeration of Russia’s biggest food storage warehouse, powered by CO2.
LU-VE was awarded the contract by Maersk, a Danish shipping company, for the design and installation of the CO2 cooling system.
Headquartered in Copenhagen, Maersk transports refrigerated foods and has a logistics centre in St Petersburg for the conservation of fruit, vegetables and other perishable goods.
The logistics centre is equipped with three areas at different temperatures (+13°, +6° and -25°) and is the largest Russian structure that uses CO2 for refrigeration.
