Luxfer Gas Cylinders provided lightweight compressed natural gas (CNG) systems for seven Iveco Urbanway buses that are now transporting visitors at Expo 2015, a global event that began on May 1 and will run through October 31.
Located just northwest of the center of Milan, the Expo site covers 272 acres (110 hectares). The event is expected to attract about 20 million visitors from around the world.
Using environmentally friendly CNG-powered buses is in keeping with the Expo’s ecological theme: “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life.”
Each bus is equipped with four Luxfer carbon composite cylinders containing 1,280 litres of fuel.
