MAN Cryo, a marine fuel-gas-system manufacturing subsidiary of MAN Diesel & Turbo, has signed a contract to deliver a liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel-gas supply system to the first LNG-powered vessel of its kind.
The deal with Sefine Shipyard in Turkey will see MAN Cryo deliver an LNG supply system that will be installed aboard a double-ended RoPax ferry – the first of its kind with LNG propulsion.
The LNG supply system includes a 150m3 vacuum insulated storage tank and all auxiliary equipment including an LNG vaporizer, a pressure build-up unit, bunker station and heat exchanger. The equipment will supply gas to the ferry’s three dual-fuel propulsion engines.
