Matheson Tri-Gas has completed an agreement to acquire Linweld of Lincoln, Nebraska and continue its operation as a separate business unit based in Nebraska.
The deal is set to close by August of 2006 and is supported by the management of both companies.
Greg Vasek, president of Linweld stated: “This transaction enables Linweld to advance our growth opportunities nationally and offer opportunities to our customers and employees.”
As to how this will impact local operations, Bob Caldwell, general counsel continued: “Linweld’s management team will stay in Lincoln, Nebraska. Closing should take place by August of this year. We are excited about the new resources we gain with a national player such as Matheson Tri-Gas as well as becoming part of the global Taiyo Nippon Sanso Group.”
