McPhy Energy’s first contract for UK H2 station market

McPhy Energy, designer, manufacturer and integrator of hydrogen (H2) equipment, has been chosen by the H2 car manufacturer and mobility services company Riversimple to supply it with a first H2 refuelling station.

The ‘McFilling® 20-350’ station will enable its users to fill up with H2 in less than five minutes to travel 500 km without any health or environmental impacts.

With this first contract, McPhy will be entering the UK clean mobility market, which is developing strongly with thanks to an ambitious government support programme. After announcing in March this year that a further €26m ($30m) budget would be made available, and following the petrol and diesel ban proposed on the 26thof July, there will be increased demand for these stations and for H2 electric vehicles.

The 20-350 model from the McFilling range delivers 20 kg of H2 per day at a pressure of 350 bar. With its modular, scalable and turnkey design, like all the H2 refuelling stations (HRS) developed by McPhy, the McFilling 20-350 has been created for refuelling captive fleets with unit capacities up to 6kg. This particular station will be built to coincide with the launch of Riversimple’s new Rasa H2 -powered car.
