McPhy wins Cleantech Prize

McPhy Energy received the 2013 Cleantech Prize yesterday for the best partnership between an innovative SME and an industrial actor for its association with Enertrag in the power to gas sector.

The Cleantech Club of the French Association of Investors for Growth (AFIC) and Ernst & Young award these prizes to companies and partnerships that have made exemplary contributions to developing and distributing innovation in the Cleantech sector.

In September 2013, McPhy Energy and Enertrag, the German renewable energy major player, formed a strategic partnership to accelerate the development of power to gas. As part of the agreement, McPhy Energy took over the development and manufacturing of Enertrag HyTec Gmbh electrolysers, thereby completing its product range of electrolysers with large-scale generators that are perfectly suited to energy applications.

“We would like to thank Ernst & Young and the AFIC’s Cleantech Club for highlighting our partnership with Enertrag. This partnership completes our product range perfectly and helps us to take on the power to gas market, as well as the mobility and industry sectors. We now offer a full range of hydrogen generators using water electrolysis. They are the ideal fit with our innovative and unique technology for solid-state hydrogen storage. This is an important milestone in the growth of McPhy Energy as it reinforces its commitment to promoting energy transition,” declared Pascal Mauberger, Chief Executive Officer of McPhy Energy.
