Flint-based company Medical Gas Solutions was selected to supply 1 litre lightweight oxygen cylinders as part of resuscitation kits on standby at the Paralympic world cup, held recently in Manchester.
Launched under MGS’ New Vision brand, the next-generation cylinders were ergonomically developed by Luxfer Medical to provide optimum gas delivery in a compact, portable design that can be charged up to 300 bar to provide almost double the gas volume of a conventional cylinder.
Record numbers of competitors competed at the games as the countdown for the Beijing Paralympics continued to gather momentum. Close to 400 athletes from 45 different countries were in Manchester from 7th – 11th May with the event serving as one of the last chances for competitors to fine-tune their Paralympic preparations.
