Messer has partnered with GNVERT, a subsidiary of ENGIE that specialises in the distribution of alternative fuels, to develop green solutions for customers in the refrigerated road transport segment.
ENGIE recently inaugurated the Courneuve natural gas station in France. For the project, Messer provided the station with liquid nitrogen bunkering solutions for heavy good vehicles (HGVs), carriers and semi-tractor trailers, equipped with a cryogenic refrigeration units.
With the number of deliveries in town centres increasing, Liquid nitrogen-based cryogenic refrigeration units represent an innovative and effective solution for addressing the new demands of unban logistics. The liquid nitrogen produces a green and silent cold that doesn’t emit particulates, nitrogen oxides (NOx) or carbon dioxide (CO2), making it possible to carry-out night-time deliveries whilst respecting residents and the environment.
