Messer expands in Romania with acquisition

Messer has bought BUSE Gaz S.R.L in Romania with effect from 4th May.

As part of this investment, the family run industrial gases specialist will take on all 39 employees as well as taking over all fixed assets. In about two years’ time, after expansion and modernisation, BUSE’s current headquarters in Bucharest will become the new head office of Messer in Romania. 

Messer said the two companies are an ideal fit in terms of operational and production structures.

Wolfgang Indenhuck, Managing Director of Messer in Romania, added, “With two cylinder gas filling plants – one in Deva and one in Valcea – as well as another filling plant in Bucharest, we are strengthening our geographic configuration and enhancing our product portfolio with liquid CO2 and dry ice.”
