Messer has opened its biggest carbon dioxide (CO2) recovery plant in Nanjing, China, making the company the most important provider of recycled CO2 in the country.
The plant has a capacity of 150,000 tonnes per year and meets the highest demands for quality and energy efficiency. The high purity of this CO2 makes it suitable for the beverage industry.
In addition to Nanjing, Messer had already commissioned one plant in Yunnan in 2014 and another in Sichuan in 2015. Messer is now recovering a total of 300,000 tonnes of CO2 from industrial processes per year in China.
