Messer raises money for German language courses for refugees in the town of Bad Soden

Back in November 2015, industrial gas company Messer organised a Christmas market on the Messer-Platz square in Bad Soden, Germany, selling mulled wine and waffles.

During the event, the German corporation raised a total of €2,500 ($2,800) and has now donated it all to fund further German courses for refugees in the town of Bad Soden.

The awarded project, entitled ‘Deine Chance’ – translated into ‘Your Chance’ – organises language courses for refugees around the German town, including arranging teaching schedules and coordinating with the necessary various authorities and institutes. 

Stefan Messer, Owner and CEO of the Messer Group, handed the cheque over to Norbert Altenkamp, the Mayor of Bad Soden, Hermann Zengeler, Head of the Citizens’ Service and Culture Department, and Carina Ott, the Refugee Coordinator, on the 16th March 2016.
