Metso completes the MAPAG Valves acquisition

Metso has completed the acquisition of MAPAG Valves GmbH from The Linde Group, having now received the relevant approvals for the deal.

The ownership of the company was transferred to Metso on 12th June 2008, with the acquired company to be integrated into Metso Automation’s Flow Control business line. In connection with the transaction, the parties also have signed a long-term partnership agreement.

MAPAG Valves is a manufacturing company of high performance butterfly valves, used across a wide spectrum of industry, such as chemical, petrochemical, air separation, natural gas, off-shore and liquefied natural gas (LNG) as well as nuclear and conventional power stations. Its special strengths are in engineering, project management and process know-how for demanding applications.

Following the acquisition, Metso supports its strategy to complement the product offering for the energy and hydrocarbon industries, while also improving the company’s market position in the fast growing industrial markets, such as industrial gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
