Australian sustainable technology company Mineral Carbonation International (MCi) was crowned the winner yesterday (2nd Nov) of the Net Zero Technology Centre’s (the ‘Centre’) COP26 ‘Clean Energy Start-up Pitch Battle’, fending off nine other competitors.
Announced during the Centre’s COP26 programme, ‘The Road to Glasgow: Destination Net Zero’, the winning submission was MCi’s scalable carbon platform technology that converts industrial carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions into solid bulk materials.
The award will see the company receiving a range of benefits, from tailored support and industry exposure to an opportunity to pitch for investment for a place on the TechX Clean Energy Accelerator.
