Mission Innovation, a global initiative working to reinvigorate and accelerate global clean energy innovation, has published a report putting forward recommendations for implementing carbon capture, utilisation and storage technologies.
Together, Mission Innovation and SINTEF Research held a two-day workshop which helped to shape the report’s recommendations. 135 participate took part in the workshop and contributed to the final report.
The report lays out several recommendations that include implementing incentives for low CO2 value products that encourage consumers to buy low CO2 footprint products, and therefore, enhancing the business models and research and development activities.
“We need all solutions to reach our climate targets, especially with CCUS. Political recommendations must translate into research and industrial transformations, and only then will we achieve a sustainable future,” said Dr. Nils Røkke, Executive Vice-President of Sustainability at SINTEF.
