Mobexx has released a new 10-inch rugged PC tablet which, according to the manufacturers, is the ideal companion for engineers in the field.
The new ARMOR X10gx from DRS Tactical Systems, Inc., a business unit of DRS Technologies, Inc. is a fully-rugged tablet that is configurable to customer requirements. According to Mobexx it is well suited to most rugged, demanding environments.
Features include a special FlexSpace expansion area that allows customer specific functionality to be integrated as well as a large sunlight-readable touch screen display.
It provides all the computing power needed for almost any type of mobile application and is ideally suited for the most rugged, demanding environments.

Furthermore, manufactured and certified to MIL-STD-810F/G, the device can withstand extremes in temperature, vibration, shock, and drops to the ground. Similarly, as an ATEX-certified unit, it can also be used in explosive atmospheres while its IP 67 sealing rating means it is fully sealed against dust and can meet water immersion to a depth of 1m for 30 minutes.
