Seven major industrial users of electronic power in France, including French Air Liquide, will form a consortium for buying electricity to obtain more competitive and predictable prices.
According to Forbes.com, the consortium between Air Liquide, Arcelor, Rhodia, Solvay, Alcan, Total chemical unit Arkema and Finnish paper maker UPM will be formed under the auspices of the ministry, which said 60 companies that account for around 20 per cent of electric power purchases on the open market could be eligible to join it.
