NASA has awarded contracts to both Praxair and Air Products and Chemicals Inc. Air Products will supply liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen to NASA’s Ames Research Center, California; Glenn Research Center, Ohio; and Marshall Space Center, Alabama.
Praxair will supply liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen to NASA’s Ames Research Center, California, and Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida.
The firm-fixed price contract with an Economic Price Adjustment begins on the 1st of July. It has a maximum value of $5.3m with a potential performance period of five years.
Praxair will supply approximately 175,000 litres of liquid nitrogen and approximately 52,400 tonnes of liquid oxygen to support operations at the aforementioned NASA centers and partner facilities.
