Uno-X Hydrogen AS, a Nel ASA (Nel) joint venture, has been awarded a grant of NOK 24m (€2.47m) from the Norwegian public enterprise Enova SF, for four hydrogen fuelling stations.
The joint venture – owned by Uno-X, Nel and Praxair – will expand the Norwegian hydrogen network with new refuelling stations to enable fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) to operate between all major cities in Norway.
“We are very happy to announce the Uno-X Hydrogen has been awarded NOK 24 million from Enova for establishing four additional hydrogen fuelling stations in Norway. This will help to ensure an initial network of fuelling stations in the south of Norway,” said John André Løkke, CEO of Nel.
“The support is also a positive signal from the government recognising hydrogen as an important zero-emission fuel for the Norwegian transport sector.”
