A new hydrogen (H2) station inaugurated today in Rostock, Germany, has claimed a world first.
The site is the first H2 station to gain approval from the Public-Private Clean Energy Partnership (CEP) in accordance with the latest 2016 version of the SAE J2601 standard, meaning it matches the same refuelling experience as found at typical gasoline stations.
At the new site in Germany, fuel cell vehicle (FCV) users will experience the same fast and reliable fuelling as other drivers.
Dedicated H2 technology infrastructure company Nel ASA delivered the station for petroleum refining company TOTAL.
