Nel Hydrogen Solutions, a division of Nel ASA, has been awarded a contract to supply a hydrogen (H2) production facility and fuelling station solution for ASKO, the largest grocery wholesaler in Norway.
Nel will deliver a combined C-150 contanerised H2 production unit and H2Station® to ASKO’s site in Trondheim under the contract. Financial details were not disclosed.
The dedicated solar facility will generate energy for Nel’s turnkey C-150 unit which will produce a total production capacity of more than 3,000 m3 of H2 per day, whilst the H2Station will feature three separate dispensers – two dispensers at 350 bar dedicated to forklifts and trucks and the other at 700 bar dedicated to cars.
Jacob Krogsgaard, Senior Vice-President of Nel Hydrogen Solutions, stated, “Working with ASKO, one of Norway’s largest transport companies with over 600 trucks on the road every day, is an exciting step for Nel towards enabling climate neutral transport solutions all across Norway.”
