New chairman for Hy-Drive Technologies

Hy-Drive Technologies has elected Charles Burgess as chairman of its Board of Directors.

Mr Burgess, who has been a director of Hy-Drive since 2004, succeeds David Butler, who did not stand for re-election. He has more than 15 years of experience in tax law, with expertise in international tax and securities and Since 1996, has served as president of venture capital firm Mana Investments. Previously he was a tax partner at Milner Fenerty (now Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP).

And Ken Kivenko, president of Toronto-based management consulting firm Kenmar Inc, has been elected to the Board of Directors. Mr Kivenko has more than 25 years of experience in the technology sector. He is past President of NBS Technologies Inc, the Canadian based Marconi Company and AlliedSignal Aerospace Canada, and also past Chairman of AlliedSignal Canada Inc. Mr. Kivenko currently serves on the Board of Directors of Luxell Technologies Inc and RDM Corporation.

The two men will join Peter Lo on the Company’s Audit and Compensation committees.
