The consortium was announced on Wednesday (19th Oct) and set out ambitions to support industrial decarbonisation and to clean up mobility applications in the region.
The consortium’s planned projects should feed the North American market and also deliver clean ammonia exports and increase the supply of lower carbon power internationally.
Projects will target the entire value chain, the consortium said. There is potential that will be explored for producing both lower-carbon hydrogen using natural gas with CCS and renewable hydrogen production via electrolysis.
