New facilities for CO2 production in Europe

ACP Europe SA and Air Liquide have announced they will invest €12m to significantly increase the capacity of their factory located in Geleen, the Netherlands.

The move will be equally financed by both companies and will see facilities at the plant for valorisation of carbon dioxide updated and improved.

Commenting on this decision, managing director Alaric de Murga stated explained, $quot;With this extension of its production plant and its logistic means on the carbon dioxide market, ACP Europe SA will offer a much smoother supply of the industrial clients in the Benelux, Germany and the North of France under competitive economical conditions.$quot;

The existing facilities, built in 1985, already consists of two units, each producing 120,000 tpy of carbon dioxide. This expansion, which will start production in the summer of 2008, will meet the increasing demands of today’s market by doubling capacity.
