Dr. Jun Zhang and Michael Twomey have combined their 60 years of experience in the pipeline industry and pipeline leak detection to produce a book titled ‘Introduction to Pipeline Leak Detection’.
Zhang developed the statistical pipeline leak detection method, the most deployed leak detection technology in the world while working for Shell Oil. Over the last two decades Zhang continued research and development of statistical volume balance, advanced real time transient modelling and rarefaction wave leak detection systems.
Zhang holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering, MSc in Control Systems, PhD in Fault Detection and Diagnosis and MBA. She has authored and co-authored ten technical papers between 1999 and 2016 on pipeline leak detection technologies.
