Praxairs plan to expand its existing plant in Niagara Falls has been unanimously approved by the Niagara Falls Planning Board in the US.
According to Niagara Gazette, Praxair plans to expand its capacity to process, store and distribute gases at its Royal Avenue plant after the company identified the Niagara Falls site as a strategic location.
The Falls site currently employs about two dozen people but because the company is planning to use unmanned equipment in the expanded plant, the expansion may only add a few jobs.
Project Manager Michael Breier told the publication that “It builds up an infrastructure in Western New York, which we want to do.”
