Leading Japanese company Nippon Gases has signed an agreement with Italian stainless-steel manufacturer Cogne Acciai Speciali (CAS) for the modernisation of CAS’ air separation unit (ASU).
The deal will also see Nippon Gases supplying the Italian company with all the gases necessary for the steelworks’ production processes.
The upgrade is intended to increase the efficiency of production and lower the steelworks’ energy consumption.
Signed by Monica Pirovano, General Manager, CAS, and Davis Reginato, General Manager, Nippon Gases, the initial agreement is set to last for 15 years.
