Japanese gas giant Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation (NSHD) has signed a deal with Enlink Midstream, LLC (Enlink) that will see an exchange of gas under a supply agreement and also the construction of a Bridgeport, Texas-based liquefied carbon dioxide (LCO2) and dry ice production facility.
The Matheson Tri-Gas Inc (Matheson)-owned Continental Carbonic Products, Inc (CCPI) company will oversee the construction of the facility – scheduled for completion in early 2024 – with Enlink supplying shale-derived raw gas.
The new production plant will satiate increasing demand of LCO2 and dry ice for meat processing and food transportation in the Southern states, in addition to complementing CCPI’s existing facilities in the Midwest and Northeast regions.
