As an integral part of a helium leak detection system, the system offers a number of benefits to reduce costs. These include improved quality control to reduce warranty claims, this is done by controlling the ambient environment to maintain a low helium background, proper charging conditions for the part to be tested and controlled helium pressure conditions within the part thereby avoiding possible sensitivity fluctuations.
The system also reduces helium consumption by mixing helium with other gases. Designers also say the system is multifunctional with a user friendly touch screen interface that allows for easy selection and configuration of the various functions including proof testing, pressure decay, evacuation, vacuum decay and helium charging and mixing.
