The ‘NRW model municipality/region for hydrogen mobility’ competition was held in North Rhine-Westphalia last year to support the development of hydrogen technology.
As a result of the competition, the regions of Düsseldorf, Wuppertal, Rhein-Kreis Neuss, Cologne, Brühl, Hürth, Wesseling, and the Rheinisch-Bergisch, Rhein-Sieg and Steinfurt districts will recieve €1.1m to develop their successful hydrogen concepts.
The winning regions now have until the end of 2019 to persuade the jury of their concepts and become a North Rhine-Westpahalia model region for hydrogen mobility.
