Nuvera Fuel Cells, LCC (Nuvera), has signed a cooperation agreement with the Hangzhou district government of Fuyang, in Zhejiang province, China, to enable the local manufacture of Nuvera® fuel cell stacks beginning in 2019.
The agreement also includes an investment by Nuvera to establish a production facility in Fuyang. The fuel cells will power zero-emissions heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs) such as delivery vans and transit buses.
“Nuvera is proud to partner with the Fuyang government to bring robust clean transportation solutions to China,” said Jon Taylor, President of Nuvera.
“Establishing our manufacturing capabilities in Zhejiang will enable us to take advantage of fast-growing market opportunities in China and in other countries in the region,” Taylor continued.
