The Oil and Gas Climate Initiative (OGCI) has launched KickStarter, a new initiative formed to help decarbonise industrial hubs globally, starting in the US, UK, Norway, the Netherlands and China.
KickStarter aims to create the necessary conditions to facilitate a commercially viable, safe and environmentally responsible carbon capture utilisation and storage (CCUS) industry.
The initiative, which is a key step in achieving net zero emissions and supports the goals of the Paris Agreement, has an aspiration to double the amount of carbon dioxide currently stored globally before 2030.
