The BJ Services Company’s Tubular Services line has announced it has been awarded a contract by Oilex Ltd to provide a range of tubular running services in India.
BJ Services has been delivering casing and tubing running services in India since 1998 and the new contract calls for onshore running services for casing and tubing, ranging in size from 9 5/8-in. casing to 2 7/8-in. tubing.
The services are being carried out on a number of wells located in the Cambay Production Sharing Contract area, Gujarat, India.
The Tubular Services team has already run the 9 5/8-in. casing, with support from BJ Services base in Mumbai, while the nine-month contract provides for a possible extension of up to 15 months. Work on the Oilex project is scheduled for completion in 2009.
