Orseal, a flow control solution company, has delivered its oxygen (O2) service valves to IISCO Steel Plant’s (ISP) fully-integrated iron and steel facility in West Bengal, helping increase its profitable steel capacity to 2.5 million tonnes per year.
The Special Projects Division of the UK-based business, which designs and manufactures customised valve designs, supplied the 20-inch floating ball (FB) flanged valves for ISP’s modernisation programme.
The valves, manufactured in Monel due to its strength and corrosion resistance properties, are trunnion mounted and can operate in temperatures of up to 200°C.
