Airgas Inc. has acquired Central Welding Supply Inc, an industrial packaged gas distributor with 3 locations south of Dallas, Texas, and also effective as of 1st November 2007 is the acquisition of Texas Imndustrial Gas Inc.
Both of the acquired businesses, which generated close to $6m in revenues in 2006, have been integrated with one of the regional companies within the Airgas umbrella, Airgas Southwest. The transactions bring the total number of acquisitions by Airgas in a busy fiscal 2008 to 10, with acquired annual sales of $400m.
Airgas is the US distributor of industrial, medical and specialty gases and producer of nitrous oxide and dry ice and a liquid carbon dioxide producer in the South east.
